Our Story

Welcome to OpenColo, a 71,000 square foot boutique data center located in the City of Santa Clara, in the Bay Area of CA.

Power delivery is crucial to data center design and operation. OpenColo has implemented N+1 cooling, an above industry standard 2N power redundancy to compliment our 100% uptime SLA, and a busway power delivery system for custom power configurations and faster power upgrades. Santa Clara is home to Silicon Valley Power (SVP), which offers better reliability and lower costs than PG&E and has the best operational history of any power company in California.

Network is also essential to our customers. With a BGP blend of five Tier 1 upstream providers and more than 50 peered networks, our bandwidth and connectivity are guaranteed to deliver your content to your customers quickly and reliably, even to the most highly congested markets. As we are a carrier neutral data center, customers can bring in additional providers with cross connects, allowing our customers to take full advantage of Santa Clara’s unsurpassed fiber density.

Co-Founder and CEO

Prior to the founding of OpenColo, Sally has served as CEO of Energy Group Networks LLC since 2003. Before that, Sally was a founder of Bean-Net, a gaming and streaming server provider. Sally graduated with a BA in American Studies from Trinity College in Connecticut with a focus on Art History and Political Science.
